As of June 4th, 2022, Our Street Gospel is an official business. Today, in this initial press release, we will talk about Our Street Gospel, its mission vision, goals for the next year, and a call to action.
Our Street Gospel Incorporation was established in January 2022.
Our organization allows communities to obtain free clothing and participate in events that impact self-esteem and morale. Our Street Gospel is committed to delivering a diversely unique experience that embraces a variety of perspectives and recognizes the talents of all its community. We will continuously review our recruitment, development programs, and initiatives to enable our communities to become stronger and more capable of maximizing their effectiveness.
Our Mission is to produce an environment that cultivates communities and collectively creates a positive and spirited atmosphere by providing free clothing for individuals and programs that inspire all involved to have a sense of pride and motivation in themselves and a stronger future.
Our Vision is to foster a culture of trust through transparency (proactive, constructive, accountable communication), inclusivity (mission, connected), and respect (people). Promoting self-care and love impacts the stress and leads our communities to focus on developing vital interpersonal skills and life-changing intangibles. We will “Empower others to love their neighbors as themselves.”
The goals for Our Street Gospel are as follows:
1. Develop a culture of unapologetic giving and enhance all community members' welfare, recognition, and overall Quality of life.
2. Establish effective networking means of communication with all community members to exchange ideas; host One Fundraiser Per Year
3. Showcase the efforts and impact of Our Street Gospel via social/local media engagement bi-weekly
4. Develop a website that is easily accessible and very appealing.
5. Partner with at least two businesses and two organizations per year.
6. Expand to a new city every year, conducting fundraising activities to meet the above-listed objectives.
7. Donate to those in need and continuously be there for our community
Our Street Gospel’s business model is pretty simple; we operate as a joint/social venture. You may ask yourself, what is that? A social venture is a type of nonprofit business that serves dual purposes: making money and serving the mission. Potential profits from the sale of goods or services are directed back to doing the mission. These social ventures also use their mission and nonprofit status as part of branding and marketing efforts. In some cases, a social experience may also be an expansion of a nonprofit (Monson-Rosen, 2021). By selling products, our nonprofit is utilizing sales to support operating costs and fund events to help our communities.
Not only does the money used from the revenue go back into the community, but Our Street Gospel’s suppliers are POD which stands for “Print on Demand.” The POD is a fulfillment service. It puts OSG in charge of the sales, marketing, product procurement, and Design Processes. While the print-on-demand companies and affiliates in their network are in charge of production, printing, inventory management, packaging, and shipping (Djuraskovic, 2022). This business method is unique because it allows Our Street Gospel to be an all-around economically friendly company and socially driven. It’s a perfect combination for total production and gratification. The objective is to generate enough sales of our clothing to give local communities free clothing that will help them build confidence. Our clothing is fashionable, affordable, and globally impactful. Our website seeks to provide stories of those immediately impacted and allow others access into their lives to help change people’s lives For the better.
So the next time you are thinking about purchasing a shirt, think about the impact you can make when you buy from us. You are directly giving someone who can’t afford something nice to wear.
Inevitably fulfilling the true mission but yet simple mission of OSG;
“Empowering others to love their neighbors as themselves” Mark 12:30-31 Thank you, have a blessed day!
