It has been ten months since Our Street Gospel set out to increase awareness, engage more with our communities, and develop foundation building projects for the future. I am pleased to announce that as of August 1st, 2022, we have accomplished one of these goals! Thanks to the support of our donors and the hard work of our team, Our Street Gospel has made incredible progress over the last ten months.
I am pleased to announce that, as of August 1st, Our Street Gospel Inc has been recognized as a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization. We rely on the generosity of donors like you to help us achieve our goals. With your continued support, we can make even more progress in the months and years to come. Since January of 2022, Our Street Gospel has been working hard to increase brand awareness and engage more with our communities. We've started several new foundation building projects that we hope will have a positive impact for years to come. We're so grateful for the support of our donors during this time; without you, none of this would be possible. Thank you for helping us make a difference!
We plan to increased our engagement with our communities by holding monthly clean-ups in local parks. This was brought up by one of our newest members and is a great way for us to not only connect with members of our community but also to beautify public spaces. In addition to the monthly clean-ups, we plan to have two food drives this upcoming year one during the summer and one during the holidays. The food drives are a great opportunity for us to collect donations and distribute them to families in need. Just like how buying merchandise from our website also help us fund these events, take care of families and keep our wonderful website operating.
One of the ways we increased brand awareness is by partnering with other organizations in our community. We will partner with the local library to host a series of workshops on different aspects of financial literacy. We also plan to partner with organizations like the YMCA to put on a series of free dog-training classes. These partnerships will allow us to reach new audiences and spread the word about Our Street Gospel in a way that is fun and interactive.
We are also in the process of developing a mentorship program for high school students and young adults. The mentorship program will pair students with adults who can provide guidance and support as they navigate through their teenage/young adult years.
Thanks to the support of our donors and the hard work of our team, Our Street Gospel has made incredible progress over the last ten months. We are excited about all that we have accomplished and we are looking forward to continuing our work in the months and years to come!
